Meet the Bawtry's Bar team

In December 2014 Andy Miller saw the opportunity of joining the previous licencee Andy Longworth to develop the old Cooper and Griffin wine bar into something a little different for Bawtry providing great quality food, drink, quirky decor and unique entertainment. After 4 months of refurbishment work Bawtry’s Bar & Brasserie opened its doors with Coleman’s Pizzeria and Steakhouse providing their expertise in the kitchen.

Andy has been working in the hospitality sector for over 20 years gaining experience at The Queens Moat House Hotel, Doncaster, Sheffield Hallam Student Union, and various town centre and country pubs around the UK.

Following this he then became National Sales Manager at Stella Artois where he realised the importance of providing quality food and drink in a warm and inviting environment. Laterly, Andy was well known for his work on reopening the Blue Bell in Ranskill and refurbishing and managing the Safari Cafe on the fabulous Yorkshire Wildlife Park.


Andy Longworth

Andy Longworth began his life from the famous Regent Hotel family in Doncaster. From there he was part of a fantastic band called ‘Bliss’ with a massive following throughout the whole of Doncaster and beyond, renound for his amazing vocals. From this Andy went into forming a pub company around the Doncaster area with his flagship pubs ‘The Nelson’ and ‘Oscars’ been included on the agenda for many Doncaster people in the 80’s.

Bacchus in Retford was one success story with the Cooper & Griffin been the next to which he also opened ‘The Hypogriff’ champagne bar, the current Coleman’s Steak House. Coupling forces with Andy Miller they redesigned the layout to form the current Bawtry’s Bar & Brasserie.
